Meet Ray Powers, Machinist II. He's been with us for 12 years and has seen a lot of positive change at Henke. This profession runs in Ray's family as his daughter is also a Machinist. One day on his way home from work he saw a newborn Kitty in the middle of the highway, he stopped and picked her up and took her home - they've been best of buds ever since. Now that's sweet!

Here's a good story - our blood drive for the  Community Blood Center of Greater Kansas City was a huge success. We had a goal to donate 20 pints, we achieved 35 units and out of those 35, 20 were first time donors. Right now, there's an emergency blood shortage across the nation. Spokane Mayor Announces Christmas in July

Ho, ho, ho! It's fun to think of snow during these hot summer days. City of Spokane Mayor David Condon and Street Director, Gary Kaesemeyer announced the gift of Henke Hi-Gates to the Citizens of Spokane. They have more than doubled the number of Gates put in use. The Gates are used on John Deere and Volvo Construction Equipment Loaders and Graders. The Wheel Loaders are also equipped with Henke's heavy duty Reversible End Loader Plow (REL).
